Hello everyone. I am so excited to be carrying on the legacy of Miss Teenage Red Deer. I am a second generation Red Deerian attending Red Deer College for my Bachelor of Education Degree. I have a large passion for learning and knowledge and I enjoying getting the chance to share my knowledge and passion. Community service is also a large part of my life. I spend most of my spare time volunteering and helping around my community. Faith is a huge part of my life as well and I have the best opportunity this year and caring into next year interning at local church helping run their kids game night. It has combined all aspects of life that I value so high, allowing me to teach and share my faith to children in a fun manner that speaks to them. Between school, work, interning, and volunteering I live a very busy life but I always find time to layback and relax. In my down time I enjoy yoga, hiking, and like most, Netflix. I also have a hidden artsy side, I enjoy painting, drawing, and knitting. During the fall and winter I work with my Mother and Grandmother sewing mittens and knitting scarves that we then sell at local craft fairs. It has been a great family boding experience that we all look forward to each year. I am blessed to be part of a very loving, supporting, close family. My family encourages me everyday to be the best person I can be and has shown me how to love, care, and inspire everyone I meet. My Dad and Grandparents are respected local business owners and my mother runs a non-profit organization she helped found 3 years ago. My parents have shown my that hard work and determination lead to great success.
I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to represent Red Deer this year at the Miss Teenage Canada national pageant and plan to make my hometown very proud. I would like to thank my sponsors thus far: Fas Gas Plus, Victoria Station Dental, Parterre Property, Mr. Suds, Tasty Bakery, Bridal Couture Dezigns, and Painted Light Photography. The support I have received has been so heart warming. Thank you and I look forward to keeping you all updated on this amazing journey.
